We are proud to work with these committed and passionate young women leaders over the next six months. Below are just a few of our world-changing 2021 Cohort 2 Fellows.

Kujegi Camara — Bronx, New York | Co-Founder & President, Smiling Coast Women Empowerment Network (SCWEN), Community Engagement Program Manager, Muslim Community Network (MCN).

Kujegi is passionate about creating meaningful connections across different platforms, entities, and people. She gets the most excited when she is supporting others and working to improve the processes and systems they are in and when she is writing and performing poetry.

Mariam Zabakhidze — Tbilisi | Regional Operations Manager, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Caucasus

Mariam is an international development practitioner with more than seven years of work experience focusing on nature protection, combating climate change and good governance. She holds a MA degree in Globalization, Business and Development from IDS at University of Sussex, UK.

Alyssa Bovell — Atlanta, Georgia | Technical Officer, FHI 360

Alyssa is an intersectional feminist & gender equity practitioner, working on advancing reproductive justice & strengthening gender-based violence prevention & response programming. She is a member of the Racial Equity Index, which is focused on addressing systemic racism in global development.

Johanna Sophie Rocker — Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca | Founder & CEO / Customer Success Leader, Murciélaga / SINAI Technologies

I have found my vocation at the intersection of women’s rights & climate action. With a background in ethnology, impact evaluation, climate tech and community activism I work towards actionable solution-finding for the deeply interconnected issues of social equity and sustainability.

Amy Kranzler — Bronx, New York | Psychology Attending; Associate Director of CBT Training Program; Clinical Director of the Adult DBT Program, Montefiore Medical Center

Amy is a psychologist at Montefiore Medical Center, where she is the Clinical Director of the Adult DBT Program & Associate Director of the CBT Training Program. Amy co-founded the Becoming an Emerging Adult at Montefiore (BEAM) program, which focuses on improving mental health care for young adults.

Jessica Xiao — Silver Spring, MD | Director of Communications & Strategic Engagement

I use the tools of organizational development, narrative strategy, digital organizing, and design thinking to empower AAPI journalists & communities to own our stories. I’m a writer who gravitates towards weaving lived insights on the human condition into messages that impact society at large.
